WET: PLAY READING BOOK CLUBS
ArtsEmerson’s Play Reading Book Club (PRBC) is a dynamic theatre literacy and community education program that provides unique and radical access to scripts, artists, and conversations within the theatre. Participants explore a play in 3 sessions over 3 weeks, with various locations and dates to choose from. Learn more.
Registration to the program is FREE. Tickets to the play must be purchased separately.
SESSION 1: Facilitated group reading of the play out loud (roles are randomly assigned) and discussion of play structure and playwright.SESSION 2: Facilitated group discussion of play's social and historical context, production elements and civic relevance.
SESSION 3: See the performance together at ArtsEmerson with other neighborhood PRBCs (followed by a post-show reception).
