Art played a critical role in the Syrian revolt. Protestors used it in their struggle to help shape their vision of a post-dictatorial culture. There are times when art can do what politics cannot: shed light on and create nuance in our understanding of everyday life. Join artist Tania El Khoury ( Gardens Speak ) and scholar Yasser Munif as they examine the intimate relationship between art and revolution and the power of Tania's performative work in redefining how audiences engage in artistic practice.
