About the Artists

Led by actors Oliver Dimsdale and Ferdy Roberts, and musician Tim Phillips, Filter has been creating innovative, exciting theatre since 2003. Filter's unique collaborative language explores the interaction between sound, music, text and movement in a desire to make stories that awaken the imaginative senses of an audience. Filter is at the forefront of contemporary theatre-making as a deviser of new pieces including Water (BAM), Silence (Royal Shakespeare Company), and Faster (59E59 NYC), and for its playful and innovative interpretations of classic texts such as Macbeth (Tobacco Factory Theatres), A Midsummer Night’s Dream, Three Sisters (Lyric Hammersmith), and Caucasian Chalk Circle (National Theatre). Its feature film What You Will, inspired by Twelfth Night, was released in 2012 (Fluidity Films).
