Meet the Baritones

	Marc Kudisch (Performer/Co-Creator) Three-time Tony Award Nominee, four-time Drama Desk Nominee and two-time Outer Critics Circle Award Nominee, Marc Kudisch’s Broadway credits include 9 to 5 (Franklin Hart), Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (Baron Bomburst), The Apple Tree (Roundabout Theatre), Assassins (The Proprietor, Roundabout Theatre), Thoroughly Modern Millie (Trevor Graydon), Bells are Ringing (Jeff Moss), LaChiusa’s The Wild Party (Jackie – Public Theater), The Scarlet Pimpernel (Chauvelin), High Society (George Kittredge), Disney’s Beauty & the Beast (Gaston) and Joseph & the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat (Reuben). His recent performances Off-Broadway include The Holiday Guys (co-creator) at The York Theatre, The Blue Flower at Second Stage, A Minister’s Wife and The Glorious Ones at Lincoln Center,  The Pirates of Penzance and A Little Night Music at New York City Opera, Girl Crazy and No Strings at Encores!
	Jeff Mattsey (Performer) is renowned worldwide for the baritone roles that have defined his prominent career. He made his Operatic debut as Marcello in La bohème opposite Luciano Pavarotti with the Opera Company of Philadelphia. The production then toured Modena, Italy, Genoa, Beijing, the Deutsche Oper Berlin, and finished at the Teatro Colon in Buenos Aires. He joined the roster of the Metropolitan Opera in 1997, made his house debut in 1998 in their production of Les Contes d’Hoffmann, and has since returned as Guglielmo in Cosi fan Tuttle, Marco in Gianni Schicchi, Mercutio and Paris in Roméo et Juliette, Silvano in Un Ballo in Maschera, Schaunard in La bohème, Hermann/Schlemiel in Les Contes d’Hoffmann, Jose Castro in La Fanciulla del West; Marullo in Rigoletto, and in productions of Dr. Atomic, The Magic Flute, Il Barbiere di Siviglia, Andrea Chenier, Carmen, L’Elisir d’Amore, and Francesca da Rimini, among many others.  He has appeared with Opera Companies including the San Diego Opera, Boston Lyric Opera, Houston Grand Opera, Chicago Lyric Opera, Vancouver Opera, Edmonton Opera, and many others in roles ranging from the comic Papageno to the serious Germont. Of a recent performance, the San Diego Tribune says, "Baritone Jeff Mattsey was an extraordinary Marcello: extraordinary because he created a character so rich and textured with so little apparent effort - and sang the role with such an outpouring of warm, burnished sound..." Mr Mattsey can be seen on Kultur videos DVD of Pavarottis La Boheme in China and the MET's recent release of La Fanciulla del West. He can be heard on the Boston Baroque's recording of the Monteverdi Vespers and the Richard Tucker Foundations Salute to American Music.
